Biography
Deb Powers started learning string instruments way back in 4th grade and has loved getting to work with so many people over the years. She taught public school orchestra in the Ashland School District for 35 years and recently retired. She's looking forward to sharing her love of string instruments with new students!
Deb Powers teaches violin, viola, cello, and upright string bass to all age levels. She started learning string instruments way back in 4th grade and has loved getting to work with so many people over the years. She has studied with Janet Jensen, Marvin Rabin, Dr. Gerald Fishbach, and Roger Ruggeri, masterclasses with string bass masters, Lucas Drew and Barry Green. Her playing experience has been with multiple groups such as the Waukesha Symphony, Chicago Civic Orchestra, Chequamegon Symphony, Big Woods Big Band, and currently, Garland City Consort. She taught public school orchestra in the Ashland School District for 35 years and recently retired. She's looking forward to sharing her love of string instruments with new students!
